ABOUT US
The Project Alliance Strapping Association (PAS) was founded in 2025 to unite stakeholders across the strapping industry and create a collaborative platform for addressing common challenges and driving innovation. One of the key targets for the industry is to address the Art.29.1 PWRW obligations whihc pose an existencial threat to our product. Moreover, the purpose is to promote sustainable practices, harmonize standards, and ensure compliance with wvolving regulatory frameworks such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). By bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users, the association fosters dialogue and knowledge exchange of expertise, enabling members to anticipate market trends and regulatory developments.

What we strive for
A key focus of the association is advancing circular economy principles within transport packaging. This includes initiatives to increase the use of recycled materials, improve recyclability of strapping products, and support research into alternative materials and technologies. The Project Strapping Alliance (PAS) also serves as an advocacy body, representing the industry in discussion with policymakers and stardization organizations to ensure that strapping solutions remain efficient, safe and environmentally safe.

Standarization Across The Industry
Develop and harmonize technical standards for strapping products and applications to ensure consistency, safety, and quality worldwide.
Sustainability Leadership
Promote circular economy principles by increasing content materials used for strapping, improving recyclability, and reducing environmental impact across the supply chain.
Reglatory Compliance and Advocacy
Support members in meeting evolving regulations such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and advocate for practical, industry-friendly solutions in policymaking.
Knowledge Sharing and Networking
Create platforms for exchanging best practices, tehcnical expertise, and market insights among manufacturers, suppliers and end-users.
